Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Die For Art Tattoo Studio ("we", "us", "our", "the Studio") and any client ("you", "the client") who books an appointment, purchases products, or otherwise engages with our services.
By booking an appointment, paying a deposit, or purchasing from our online store, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking or purchase.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking applies to your appointment.

Age Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive any tattoo or piercing service at Die For Art Tattoo Studio. This is a strict legal and studio policy with no exceptions — regardless of parental consent.
We will request valid photo ID from any client who appears to be under 25. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- UK passport or foreign equivalent
- UK driving licence (full or provisional)
- PASS-scheme proof of age card
- National identity card (for EEA nationals)
If you are unable to provide valid ID and we have reasonable grounds to believe you are under 18, we will refuse your appointment and your deposit will be non-refundable.
Providing false information about your age constitutes a breach of these Terms and we may take further action where appropriate.
Bookings & Appointments
Appointments can be made via WhatsApp, phone, email, or in-studio enquiry. A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received (see Section 4).
Walk-in appointments are accepted subject to artist availability. Walk-in clients do not need to pay a deposit, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
Consultation
For custom pieces, larger tattoos, or complex cover-ups, we strongly recommend a free consultation before booking a full session. During the consultation we will:
- Discuss your design, placement, size, and style
- Review any reference images you bring
- Advise on realistic timescales and session splits for larger pieces
- Provide an estimated price range
Consultations are free of charge. To book one, contact us via WhatsApp or email.
Appointment Confirmation
You will receive confirmation of your appointment date, time, and assigned artist. Please arrive on time — arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your appointment being shortened or rescheduled, and your deposit may be forfeited at our discretion.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all tattoo appointments. Piercing bookings do not require a deposit. The deposit compensates the artist for their time spent on design preparation and reserves your appointment slot.
Deposit Amounts
Pay £50 Deposit
Pay £100 Deposit
Pay £200 Deposit
The deposit amount will be deducted from the final price of your tattoo on the day of your appointment. You pay the remaining balance after your session is complete.
Deposits Are Non-Refundable
All deposits are strictly non-refundable. By paying a deposit, you acknowledge and accept that it will not be returned to you under any circumstances, including if you change your mind about having a tattoo.
When Your Deposit Is Forfeited
Your deposit is forfeited (lost) in the following situations:
- You cancel your appointment for any reason
- You fail to attend your appointment (no-show)
- You give less than 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule
- You arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs and your appointment is refused
- You cannot provide valid ID and your appointment is refused due to suspected underage status
- You significantly change the design after the artist has begun preparation, requiring a new appointment
- You are refused service due to a health, medical, or skin condition that was not disclosed at the time of booking.
Transferring Your Deposit
Your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date once, provided you give us at least 48 hours' notice before your original appointment time. After the first transfer, a new deposit is required to rebook.
Deposit transfers expire after 6 months from the original booking date if no new appointment is made.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Client Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible:
- 48+ hours' notice: Your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment date (once only).
- Less than 48 hours' notice: Your deposit is forfeited. A new deposit is required to rebook.
- No-show (no contact): Your deposit is forfeited. We reserve the right to decline future bookings.
Cancellations must be made by contacting us directly via WhatsApp (+44 7768 919690) or email (studio@dieforarttattoo.com). Cancellations via social media messages may not be seen in time.
Studio Cancellations
In the rare event that we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (artist illness, emergency studio closure, etc.), we will give you as much notice as possible and offer either:
- A rescheduled appointment at a mutually agreed date, with your deposit carried over; or
- A full refund of your deposit.
We are not liable for any additional costs you may incur as a result of a studio-side cancellation (e.g. travel or accommodation costs).
Design & Consultation
Custom Designs
Our artists invest significant time preparing custom designs for your appointment. For custom pieces, a design will typically be prepared in advance and presented to you on the day of your appointment or shared digitally beforehand.
Minor adjustments to size, placement, or small details can be made on the day. However, significant design changes requested on the day may not be possible within the allotted session time and may require a new booking. Your deposit may be forfeited if the appointment cannot proceed due to last-minute major changes.
Design Approval
You are responsible for reviewing and approving your design before tattooing begins. Once the stencil is applied and tattooing has commenced, changes cannot be made. Please ensure you are completely happy with the design, size, and placement before we start.
By allowing the artist to begin, you confirm that you are fully satisfied with the agreed design.
Reference Images
Reference images help us understand your vision. However, we do not copy other artists' work or reproduce existing tattoos directly. Our artists will always create an original piece inspired by your references. Please be open to their creative interpretation — this is what makes each piece unique.
Stencil Placement
Stencils will be placed as discussed and agreed. If you are unsatisfied with the placement once the stencil is applied, please say so before tattooing begins. We are happy to reposition it. Once tattooing has started, changes to placement are not possible.
Pricing & Payment
Pricing
All prices are quoted in GBP (£). Pricing is based on design complexity, size, placement, time required, and the artist involved. We offer:
- Fixed price — agreed upfront for smaller, well-defined pieces.
- Day rate / hourly rate — for larger pieces and sleeves. Rates vary by artist; your artist will advise you at consultation.
Prices quoted at consultation are estimates and may vary if the final design or session length differs materially from the original brief. We will always communicate any price changes before commencing work.

Pay in Instalments with Klarna
We offer Klarna as a flexible payment option — ideal for larger tattoos, sleeves, back pieces, and full-day sessions where you'd like to spread the cost. At checkout you can choose to pay in 3 interest-free instalments or use other Klarna payment plans where available.
Klarna financing is subject to their own approval process and credit checks. Any instalment agreement is directly between you and Klarna — we receive payment in full at the time of your session regardless of your chosen repayment plan with them. Klarna's own terms and conditions apply. We do not operate our own in-house credit or deferred payment arrangements.
Payment for your session is due on the day of your appointment, upon completion.
Saving Your Card for Remaining Balance
When paying your deposit online via Stripe, you will be given the option to securely save your payment card for future use. This is entirely optional.
By choosing to save your card, you explicitly authorise Die For Art Tattoo Studio to charge the remaining balance of your session to that saved card following the completion of your appointment. By ticking the save-card option at checkout, you are agreeing to this authorisation.
- We will always confirm the final amount with you before charging your saved card.
- You will receive a payment receipt by email once the charge is taken.
- Your card details are stored securely and encrypted by Stripe — studio staff cannot see or access your full card number at any time.
- You may remove your saved card at any time by contacting us at studio@dieforarttattoo.com. If removed before your appointment, the remaining balance must be settled in studio on the day.
Minimum Charge
There is a minimum charge of £50 for any tattoo. This applies regardless of the size of the design.
Health & Medical Disclosure
Your health and safety are our priority. You must inform us before your appointment if any of the following apply to you:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Diabetes (type 1 or 2)
- Blood clotting disorders or use of blood-thinning medication (e.g. Warfarin, Aspirin)
- Heart conditions or a pacemaker
- Immune system disorders or conditions affecting healing
- Epilepsy
- Skin conditions in or near the area to be tattooed (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, keloid scarring)
- Known allergies to inks, metals, or latex
- Recent sunburn, open wounds, or broken skin in the proposed area
- Any other medical condition that may affect tattooing or healing
Intoxication
We will refuse to tattoo or pierce any client who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This is for your safety and the integrity of the work. Your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
On the Day
To ensure the best possible experience, please:
- Eat a good meal before your appointment (low blood sugar can cause dizziness)
- Stay well hydrated
- Wear or bring comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session
- Avoid excessive sun exposure or sunburn to the area beforehand
Studio Conduct
We are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all clients and staff. We expect all clients to:
- Treat all staff and other clients with respect
- Follow the reasonable instructions of your artist
- Remain as still as possible during tattooing
- Speak up if you feel unwell, need a break, or have concerns
Right to Refuse Service
Die For Art Tattoo Studio reserves the right to refuse service to any individual at any time, including but not limited to situations involving:
- Abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour toward staff or other clients
- Suspected intoxication
- Inability to verify age
- Undisclosed health conditions that pose a risk
- Requests for tattoos in locations we consider unsafe (e.g. eyelids, inner lip)
- Requests for designs we consider discriminatory, hateful, or offensive
In cases where service is refused due to client conduct, deposits are non-refundable.
Aftercare & Touch-Ups
Aftercare Instructions
After your session, your artist will provide aftercare instructions. Following these correctly is essential for the healing of your tattoo and the longevity of the work. Failure to follow aftercare advice may result in colour loss, infection, or poor healing — for which the Studio cannot be held responsible.
General aftercare guidelines will include keeping the tattoo clean, moisturised, and protected from sunlight and water during healing. Your artist's specific guidance takes precedence over general online advice.
Complimentary Touch-Ups
We offer one free touch-up per tattoo, subject to the following conditions:
- The touch-up must be requested within 3 months of the original session date.
- The touch-up applies only to areas that have healed poorly due to the tattooing process — not due to client negligence, poor aftercare, sun damage, or picking.
- Touch-ups are assessed at the artist's discretion. If it is determined that the issue is due to aftercare negligence, the touch-up will be charged at the artist's standard rate.
- Touch-ups are not available for tattoos that were not completed at our studio.
Areas such as hands, fingers, feet, lips, and elbows are known to heal inconsistently by nature and may require paid top-ups beyond the initial complimentary session.
Healing Disclaimer
Every person's skin heals differently. While we take every care to produce the highest quality work, we cannot guarantee identical results across all skin types. Factors such as skin texture, tone, hydration, and health can affect the final healed appearance.
Photography & Portfolio Use
We photograph our work for portfolio and marketing purposes. Before photographing your tattoo or piercing, we will always ask for your verbal or written consent.
If you consent, your tattoo images may be used on:

Intellectual Property
All custom tattoo designs created by Die For Art artists remain the intellectual property of the Studio and the individual artist unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
By commissioning a custom design, you receive the right to wear that design as a permanent tattoo. You do not acquire the right to reproduce the design in any other medium (printed products, other tattoos, commercial use) without the artist's written permission.
We do not tattoo designs that infringe third-party copyrights or trademarks without appropriate permissions.

- We are not liable for adverse reactions caused by undisclosed medical conditions, allergies, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
- We are not liable for dissatisfaction with healed results caused by client negligence (picking, sun exposure, poor aftercare).
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings, travel costs, or accommodation costs.
- Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
